Following skin contact in cold, vinification is carried out in stainless steel tanks at 65 °F, while some is vinified in French oak barrels. The wine is left with its lees to gain structure and body. It has a brilliant straw color with greenish shades and an aroma of matured fruit such as pear, mango and citrus. On the palate the rich flavors of lemon peel enhance the appealing mouthfeel, adding a well-balanced finish. It has been named #49 in Wine Spectator’s Top 100 wines of 2019 and 94 points by Wine & Spirits.

Leclerc Briant Réserve Brut Champagne: Brut Réserve delivers the depth and fruitiness expected of a Champagne made from black grapes with the underlying flavors of brioche and almond from nearly three years aging on its lees. Chardonnay brings an underpinning of lemony acidity giving an impression of lightness and freshness. The finish is firmly dry with lingering notes of chervil and coriander.

This great wine is one you will remember. Designed by Adrianna Catena and Alejandro Vigil, it combines Cabarnet Franc with some Malbec from grapes grown in it’s Agrelo Single vineyard in Mendoza Argentina. Wine Advocate called it electric and a very good value. As it is a 2010 vintage, it is ready to drink now.
