Andrew Rich’s Prelude is an elegant and complex Pinot Noir with a long finish that becomes a multi-dimensional experience of flavours. Black raspberry, cherry, peppery spices and a suggestion of liquorice on the nose. Silky, broad and open-knit; hints of candied flowers and cola complement plush dark berry and mocha flavours. Brilliant ruby-red. Finishes supple, with a hint of tangy berry skin, leaving notes of allspice and bitter chocolate behind.
The 2014 Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir from Andrew Rich begins with inviting aromas of red and dark fruits with earthy undertones. On the palate this is medium bodied with a core of red fruits. It displays an elegant side with a lovely sense of place. Eola Amity Hills Pinot shows the best of both worlds in that it has the spiced red fruit of volcanic soils, and the prized structure from marine sedimentary sites.
Ktima Biblia Chora Areti White 2017 is produced from the Assyrtiko varietal cultivated on the Biblia Chora estate, near Ambelia, where the soil is limestone and clay.
On the nose-bright citrus notes (lemon/lime) with touch of white flowers and saline quality. On the palate-high tone acidity, evident stony minerality with concentrated citrus and red orchard fruit, a dry, crisp wine that shows depth and a long complex finish. Potential for ageing is 10 years.
Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Rosato 2018 is a very interesting Rose from a volcanic terroir in the island of Sicily, Italy. Grown from organic grapes Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio varietals, this is a great fresh wine for the summertime but also a serous pairing for a large variety of delicious seafood, fishes and many other entrees.Goes especially well with eggplant and meatballs.
