Exuberant blueberry, red cherry, and violets complicated by graphite and spice.

This luxurious medium-bodied wine is elegant, very fresh and well balanced with silky tannins. The palate delivers a taste of blackberries, cassis, black cherries; dark chocolate notes are also appreciated. Offers a long finish.

Best with nearly all red meat, including prime rib, New York strip and filet mignon. Also try lamb or pepper- crusted ahi tuna. The wine is best enjoyed with food and is great in sauces or reductions.

“Aged 20 months in 60% new French oak, the gorgeous 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon “Black Label” offers everything you could want. Blackberry, blueberries, incense, sweet spice and dried flower notes all soar from the glass and it’s full-bodied, incredibly opulent and mouth-filling, all while never seeming heavy or cumbersome.” – Jeb Dunnuck

The name of Arrow & Branch is derived from the tribute to the success of the Contursi family in the business of rare coins, and of U.S. currency. On the reverse side of most United States coins you can see an eagle with arrows and an olive branch in its claws. This design means that the United States is a nation that loves peace and the country’s capacity to defend itself if that peace and freedom are committed.

Our commitment is to only produce “Bordeaux style” wines of the best quality, regardless of the time or costs that this entails. It is common to see that the Arrow & Branch technicians make decisions in the vineyards to reduce the yield but increase the quality of the grape. The objective is always to extract most of the characteristics of the terroir to give our winemaker a wide palate of unique components and in this way to extract and produce a wine with tremendous complexities in both aromas and flavor.

The vineyards of the historic Lewelling Estate were established in 1864 near the western foothills in St. Helena by pioneer winegrower and horticulturalist John Lewelling. The vineyard has been farmed by the Lewelling family for four generations. It is all Cabernet Sauvignon and the Arrow&Branch block of Cabernet is on an alluvial fan, thus making it a premium spot for perfect growing conditions. The Cabernet grown at this site provides generous and plush tannins with overall essence of plum and black cherry thus making it a perfect component to our “Black Label” Cabernet Sauvignon.
