This beautifully balanced Rosso di Montalcino is matured 12 months in Slavonian oak casks. Has the great versalita of Sangiovese with brilliant, deep and intense ruby color, offers aromas of roasted red peppers, box of cranberries, black fruits and a touch of freshly roasted coffee. Fresh, elegant and friendly on the palate, it has a silky and velvety texture, a delicious acidity and soft, well rounded tannins

Rosso di Montalcino
Like its Montalcino sibling, it is a full-bodied wine crafted from pure Sangiovese (in this case, the local “Grosso” form). However it is considered a more vivacious style of wine, combining freshness with structure, and can be approached at a much earlier age.
Enjoy paired with medium-weight first courses such as meat-sauced pastas with mushrooms or truffles, with main courses of pork or sauced veal.

About the winery:
The San Felice farm is located in the beautiful setting of the Sienese hills, in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga. The Campogiovanni estate covers 65 hectares on the south-western side of the municipality of Montalcino. The estate is divided into different zones, comprising three different soil types that bring out complementary characteristics from the vines: The calcareous soil yields power, the clay contributes softness and the alluvial soil brings elegance. The land lies broadly flat, with a slight southward slope.
