Tensley Colson Canyon Vineyard Syrah 2017
Tensley Colson Canyon Vineyard Syrah 2017 A family of acclaimed best of Syrah’s wines; that is the legacy of Tensley vineyards in the hills of Santa Barbara, California. This is a full bodied red wine with lots of very notorious flavors and rich and deep minerals. The mouthfeel is round and velvety with a long, lingering finish.
Look for fresh notes of cherries and red plums and a finish that shows fine and dusty tannins.
Pairs well with a variety of dishes like Red Meat, Hard Cheese, Shellfish
Wine Spectator: 95 Points #25 Best 100 wines of 2018
“Deeply structured, yet rich and polished, offering notes of smoked meat, huckleberry and garrigue, with big but refined tannins.”
2017 Colson Canyon Vineyard Syrah
This is the second vintage of Colson Canyon Syrah that we’ve produced since purchasing the vineyard in 2016. Buying Colson was nothing short of a dream come true for us. Colson has been part of our portfolio since 2000, and it’s been a real superstar for us, garnering Food and Wine Magazine’s Best Syrah in America award as well as making the Wine Spectator’s Top 100 twice. Since taking over Colson, we’ve dedicated ourselves to meticulously farming this unique location. We’ve thinned the canopy, dropped crop and carefully monitored watering. As a result, we feel that 2016 and 2017 have been the best Colson vintages to date. Drink this wine now or age it over the next 12 years.
