Tenuta Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore 2015: This fabulous wine, product of the blend of French varietals, receives its distinctive flavor and aroma from its permanence in French oak casks for 14 months prior to start its adventure of maturation in the bottle. The final excellent quality of this Bolgheri is incubated in a Tuscan terroir only 150 meters above the Tyrrhenian Sea, receiving much sun while the cold breeze from the sea tempers the ground. Highly evaluated by James Suckling. Excellent collection wine.

The nose shows fruity aromas of cherries and plums, followed by spicy black pepper and nutmeg notes. In the end ethereal echoes of mint and eucalyptus, rounded off by hints of chocolate and perfected by pleasant notes of blond tobacco
The tannins are sweet and supple and velvety and generous on the finish. Balanced wine, whose good acidity with the help of tannins dominates the alcohol. On the palate, it presents itself first with very pleasant aromas of fresh plums. Long, intense and persistent aromas with a hint of fresh plums and hints of graphite.
This is the perfect wine for a very generous roast of beef or venison stew.
James Suckling – 99 Points
The denomination of origin Bolgheri (name of the small Tuscan town) is delivered to vines located in the prestigious Maremma region just south of Livorno, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Its fame has been won by its intense red wines, soft in any case for its nobility of the Bordeaux grapes that are blended by each winery reminiscent of vineyards in the Graves and the Haut-Médoc in France. The sunny, dry and breezy climate of Bolgheri and the stony soils with clay patches invite to produce wines of the quality of the best Bordeaux at very reasonable prices.
